Privacy Policy
Dateworking is built privacy-first. This document explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have.

What we collect
Account data (email, date of birth, consent records), profile data you choose to publish (first name, city, role, photos, prompt answers), dating preferences, and product usage events. We never publish exact birth dates or precise coordinates, and your surname and employer are never shown unless you explicitly choose to show them.
Sensitive data
Information about who you are interested in dating may reveal sexual orientation, which is a special category of personal data. We store it separately, restrict access at the database level, and use it only to decide who can see you and who you can see.
Why we process it
To create your account, verify you are 18 or older, show you relevant people, let matched people message each other, keep the platform safe, and measure whether the product works. We do not sell personal data.
Your controls
You can hide your profile from discovery, disable your public share page, choose what appears on any share card, adjust notification settings, request an export of your data, and delete your account. Deletion removes or anonymizes your personal data.
Retention
Profile content lives as long as your account does. Moderation and safety records are kept longer where necessary to protect other members. Analytics events are stored in aggregate-friendly form.
